Evidence Brief
A research brief where every claim carries the page it came from, delivered as a report you can read and a file you can query.
01 PROBLEM
A research deck reads well and traces back to nothing. Six weeks later nobody can tell which line came from a filing and which one was inferred, so the whole document gets re-checked by hand — or trusted anyway.
02 DECISIONS
The citation index is the product
Every edge in the graph keeps its document and page reference. The report is rendered from the graph, so a claim without a source cannot appear in it.
Ship the evidence file
Alongside the PDF, the client gets evidence.jsonl: one row per claim with document, page, quote and confidence. A claim can be queried instead of re-read.
Price against the alternative
An expert call costs $700–$1,500 an hour and covers one conversation. A brief that replaces three of those calls is priced against them, not against the hours it took.
Sample before payment
One section is written on the client's actual target and handed over before any money moves. The format gets settled while it is still free to walk away.
03 RESULT
- Format fixed: report.html, report.pdf, evidence.jsonl
- 15–25 pages, 25–40 anchored claims, 5 business days
- Founding rate $750 for the first three briefs
- Status: taking founding clients; no client case is published yet
CAVEATSThere is no published client story yet. What is fixed is the format, the price and the delivery window; the reports produced so far are samples on public filings.
